Since 1987 the Cinco de Mayo committee in conjunction with GPISD, City of Grand Prairie, and other community businesses and organizations have worked together to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
GPISD students K-12 have the opportunity to participate in an art contest, a parade, and an all-day celebration with food, booths, and entertainment. Funds raised support scholarships for graduating GPISD seniors.
We are very appreciative for all who participate in the Cinco de Mayo festivities and help make it a great event year after year!
The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at 1405 E. Main Street near Graff Chevrolet.
Parade participants should be lined up by 9:15 a.m.
LINE UP IS IN ORDER OF ARRIVAL.
PARKING: There are no parking areas reserved for this event. General parking may be found on streets north and south of Main St.
